Spoiler: It’s Not a New Camera or Fancy Software
When I first started my photography and videography journey, I was all about perfecting the technical stuff—lighting setups, editing workflows, lens choices, you name it.
But looking back now, there’s one thing I really wish I had done way earlier:
Started capturing behind-the-scenes content.
Yep. Simple photos and video clips of me doing the thing—guiding a couple into a pose, fixing a dress, chatting with a nervous groom, or lying flat on the ground to get that perfect shot.
Turns out, the process is just as important as the product.
1. It Builds Trust Instantly
People don’t just hire a camera—they hire a person. Behind-the-scenes photos and videos give future clients a peek into how I work, how I connect, and how I bring calm and energy to every shoot.
When they see me in action, they start to imagine themselves in that moment. And suddenly, hiring a photographer feels less scary—and a lot more personal.
2. It Shows the Value Beyond the Final Image
Beautiful photos and films are the result—but what’s often overlooked is the experience that gets you there. When I share moments of fixing a veil, adjusting lighting, or cracking a joke to ease nerves, it shows that I'm not just delivering images—I'm creating a meaningful experience.
Behind-the-scenes content helps people feel that.
3. It’s Easy Content That Works Hard
If you’re also a creative pro, you know how overwhelming it can be to keep up with content creation. BTS moments are some of the easiest, most authentic pieces of content you can share. A quick iPhone clip, a time-lapse setup, or a shot from your second shooter can go a long way.
It doesn’t need to be polished. It just needs to be real.
4. It Rekindles the “Why”
Every time I scroll back through BTS clips—like couples giggling between poses or parents tearing up during vows—it reminds me why I do what I do. It’s not just about the light or the lens. It’s about the connection, the trust, and the memories I get to witness firsthand.
If You’re a Fellow Photographer or Videographer…
Start now. Seriously. Don’t wait until you feel more confident or look more “official.” Set your phone on a ledge. Ask a second shooter. Hit record. These little moments tell a big story.
And if you’re a client reading this: behind-the-scenes content is how I show you that you’re in good hands from the very first click.

I regularly share moments from sessions and wedding days on Instagram, so you can see exactly how the magic happens. Spoiler alert: it involves a lot of laughing, adjusting, crouching, and sometimes running backward in heels.
Let’s make some magic together—messy, meaningful, and full of real moments.
